Darren Bruen – Managing Director

Darren is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with an MSc in Construction Law and is a founder member of Fortis. His specialist experience includes pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying functions, contract administration/claims, and commercial management of large-scale construction projects in the Middle East and Ireland. In addition, Darren has worked on ICC Arbitrations, CEDR Mediations, and the preparation of documents for litigation in the UAE and Qatari Courts.
Seamus McLaughlin – General Manager
HNC Building and Quantity Surveying
Seamus is an experienced Commercial Manager and Contract Administrator having worked for various large multinational organizations throughout his career in Ireland, UK, South Africa, Botswana, and the Middle East region. He is a founding member of Fortis, and as General Manager is responsible for the governance of company compliance and corporate matters. Seamus has recently worked on behalf of the claimant in relation to an ICC arbitration and court proceeding in the role of case preparation, substantiation, factual witness, quantum support, and assisting the claimant’s legal advisors.
Previously Seamus has served as a Regional Commercial Manager and General Manager for a major MEP Subcontractor based in the Middle East, where he managed all commercial issues, planning, procurement, estimating, contractual, and general management issues.
