Forensic Planning
At Fortis, we assess and breakdown the project into manageable pieces in a work breakdown structure (WBS) ensuring that the works are integrated into a logical programme which is easy to track and follow. We manage the programme of works from pre-contract to project closeout by updating and monitoring the work activities to determine the project status.
Most projects encounter some sort of delay – very common causes for delays are instructed change orders, design changes, specification changes, unexpected execution problems and obstructions resulting in critical or non-critical delays. A critical delay causes delay to the critical path which in turn delays the project as a whole. We recommend that regular progress updates of the project programme are submitted to the Employer. It is essential for substantiation and recovery of financial entitlements.
